Oct. 17 Swannanoa Valley crimes and arrests

The Black Mountain Police Department and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office reported these recent incidents and arrests.

Incidents

A traffic offense was reported on Oct. 3 on the 2600 block of U.S. 70. 

Driving while impaired was reported on Oct. 3 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70. 

Vandalism was reported on Oct. 4 at Lake Tomahawk Park. 

Possession of marijuana, driving while license revoked and possession of a drug paraphernalia—not for marijuana were reported on Oct. 4 on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 65. 

Drug violations were reported on Oct. 4 on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 65. 

Trespassing was reported on Oct. 4 on the 2200 block of U.S. 70. 

Driving under the influence was reported on Oct. 4 on I-40 westbound at mile marker 62. 

A felony drug offense was reported on Oct. 5 on the 100 block of Burgins Chapel Road. 

An animal bite was reported on Oct. 5 on the 500 block of Pearl View Drive. 

Larceny was reported on Oct. 5 on the 300 block of View Street. 

A felony drug offense was reported on Oct. 6 on the I-40 eastbound.

Drug equipment violations and drug violations were reported on Oct. 6 at the intersection of North Fork Road and Hutchins Road. 

Theft from a motor vehicle was reported on Oct. 7 on the 100 block of Montreat Road.  

Breaking or entering and larceny were reported on Oct. 7 on the 100 block of White Oak Circle. 

Drug equipment violations were reported on Oct. 7 on the 100 block of East Street. 

Driving under the influence was reported on Oct. 7 on the 3100 block of U.S. 70.

Felony drug offense, misdemeanor drug offense, weapon law violations, drug equipment violations and warrant service for offenses committed in another jurisdiction were reported on Oct. 7 on the 100 block of Black Mountain Avenue. 

Disorderly conduct was reported on Oct. 7 on the 700 block of Old U.S. 70. 

Trafficking a Schedule II controlled substance by possession; trafficking a Schedule II controlled substance by transportation; possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance and driving with license revoked were reported on Oct. 8 on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 63. 

Simple assault was reported on Oct. 8 on the 100 block of Fifth Street. 

Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on Oct. 8 on the 2200 block of U.S. 70. 

Assault on a female was reported on Oct. 9 on the 300 block of East State Street. 

Warrant service for offenses committed in another jurisdiction was reported on Oct. 9 at the intersection of U.S. 70 and Old U.S. 70. 

A traffic offense was reported on Oct. 9 on the 100 block of Burgins Chapel Road. 

Arrests

Robert Edward Duncan, 53, of Swannanoa, was arrested on Sept. 30 at the intersection of Tabernacle Road and Old U.S. 70 and charged with possession of methamphetamine, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Dearcey Malik Jones, 24, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Sept. 30 on the first block of Vance Avenue and charged with assault on a female. 

Kyle Fenway Parks, 24, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Sept. 30 on the 800 block of Montreat Road and charged with resisting a public officers. 

Stacy Mae Lynn Cole, 41, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Sept. 30 at the intersection of Tabernacle Road and Old U.S. 70. 

Joshua Colin Levine, 26, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Oct. 3 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with driving while impaired. 

Nikayla Jade Carlisle, 20, of Asheville, was arrested on Oct. 5 on the first block of Burgins Chapel Road and charged with possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute a Schedule I controlled substance; possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute a Schedule II controlled substance and possession with intent to sell, manufacture or distribute a Schedule III controlled substance. 

Ariel Sierra Hammflores, 43, of Black Mountain, was arrested on Oct. 6 on the 2300 block of U.S. 70 and charged with possession of marijuana up to half an ounce and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
