Hundreds of protesters walked on the streets of downtown Raleigh Tuesday, with some calling for North Carolina to drop its stay-at-home order and others insisting Gov. Roy Cooper begin to reopen the state.

While most of those parading in the street did not wear masks, David Frac of Cary did. Holding a sign that said "Reopen safely, " he told the Raleigh News & Observer the time to ease limits is now.

“I’m following all the guidelines," Frac said. "I agree with the mitigation strategy, I just think it’s time to turn a corner.”

Last week, Cooper said three areas will need to see major improvements before he considers easing stay-at-home order restrictions.
